Primary Teeth

Between six and twelve months of age, the primary teeth, sometimes referred to as "baby" teeth, start to erupt. It is recommended that children see a dentist for the first time no later than six months after the appearance of their first tooth, or by the time they become one year old. The baby teeth will not erupt till the child is around three years old. There will be a total of 20 primary teeth, which, starting at age six, will start to fall out and be replaced by permanent teeth.

Good Oral Habits

Before you are certain that your kid can brush without inadvertently swallowing toothpaste, you should monitor their brushing. Children shouldn't have fluoride unless their dentist expressly recommends it. Every six months, an appointment should be scheduled for a cleaning and examination at the dentist. It is advisable to wear a sports guard if your kid plays sports. Visit Monarch Dentistry in Waterloo if your kids need high-quality dental treatment.
