Family Orthodontics
Orthodontics refers to the practice of correcting dental and jaw misalignment. Teeth that don't fit properly or are misaligned may be more prone to cavities and gum disease, and they're also more difficult to clean. Discomfort in the back, shoulders, and neck, as well as aches and pains in the muscles and teeth that are responsible for chewing, may result from misalignment.
Orthodontic therapy has several benefits, including better dental health and, in some cases, a more attractive smile. Also, your teeth may have a longer lifespan, which means you may enjoy a beautiful smile for a longer period of time. Only a dentist can diagnose your orthodontic issues and determine whether orthodontic treatments will be beneficial, even if you may assume you need braces just by looking at your smile. In order to diagnose and treat your dental issues, your dentist may take X-rays, make models of your teeth, and conduct exams. Patients who fulfill certain requirements may be good candidates for orthodontic therapy, including:
Open bite: Space between teeth when they come together
Crossbite: Upper and lower teeth meet when biting together
Spacing: Gaps or spaces exist between teeth
Crowding: The dental arch cannot accommodate the teeth in the mouth
Overbite: Front teeth are too far forward
Underbite: Lower teeth are too far forward/Upper teeth too far back
Our Patients are always a priority and we do our best to accommodate those with pain and need to be seen by a Dentist.
