Personal Oral Care–Learn How To Do Tooth Brush

Mar 19 , 2019

Brushing your teeth regularly is key to maintaining healthy teeth and gums and also it helps in preventing periodontal gum diseases. Although some ancient civilizations used frayed twigs to clean their teeth, these days toothbrushes come in a large variety of manual and automatic forms. And the first step to be taking good care of your mouth is to choose a toothbrush that’s right for you.

“Choose a brush that has the ADA seal on the box to be sure that the bristles are not too hard,” says Dr Laith, who is the founder of Monarch Dentistry (Ontario, Canada). “Then find one that fits comfortably in your hand and mouth. If the brush is comfortable to use, you’ll use it more often and more effectively.” Here are some more helpful tips to do tooth brush:

Adapting and Adjusting Toothbrushes For Special Needs

On the off chance that you experience issues controlling hand, arm or shoulder developments, here are a few tips and ideas on adjusting standard toothbrushes:

  1. Amplify / enlarge the handle with a tennis ball, sponge or bicycle hold
  2. Stretch with a stick or bar
  3. Append to the hand or arm with flexible / elastic or Velcro lashes or hand support
  4. Curve the toothbrush handle
  5. For individuals who can’t manage fine movements, try using / utilizing an electric – rotating brush

Caring For Your Toothbrush

  1. Do not share your toothbrush or use someone else’s toothbrush
  2. After brushing, rinse your toothbrush thoroughly with tap water and allow to air-dry
  3. Store standing upright. If it is near other toothbrushes, do not let the heads touch other
  4. Do not store in closed containers
  5. Replace your toothbrush every three to four months or when the bristles look worn and bent

Here are some more tips to keep in mind when choosing a toothbrush. You’ll want to pick one that:

You’ll find an expensive and large collection of toothbrushes available, both manual and electric. It’s a smart and good thought to pick one that:

  1. Has a little head so it’s more easier and could easily be moved around inside your mouth
  2. has delicate and very soft fibers
  3. fits very comfortably in your grasp (hand)

One of the most vital and important is brushing your teeth legitimately at least two times every day.

Thinking about – Caring For Your Toothbrush

  1. Try not to share your toothbrush or use another person’s toothbrush
  2. In the time of brushing, wash your toothbrush completely with faucet / tap water and permit to air-dry
  3. Store standing upright. If it is near other brushes / close to other toothbrushes, don’t give the heads a chance to touch with each other
  4. Try not to store in closed compartments
  5. Always replace your toothbrush each three to four months or when the fibers look worn and bowed

If you need additional help figuring out how best to brush your teeth, says Dr Laith, “Have your dentist/hygienist show you the proper method.” And if you are having dental problems or concerns about your oral health, see your dentist.

A toothbrush alone can’t do everything to maintain your oral health and your teeth, Dr Laith cautions. That’s because a toothbrush can’t get between your teeth. Only dental floss can do that, so remember to floss each day, too, and see your family dentistry services providers for regular checkups.
